Finding the Treatment Plan Guide
When additional clinical features (IPR, Elastics, Attachments, Bite Ramps) are included in the treatment plan, a Treatment Plan Guide will be included in the aligner kit
- A hard copy can be found in the Aligner Kit as soon as the white box is opened
- If the Treatment Plan Guide is missing from the CandidPro Aligner Kit or you need additional copies, you may download one by following the directions below.
- PDF available only once the plan is approved
To download a PDF of the Treatment Plan guide:
- Navigate to the patient's case
- Click the "Actions" menu
- Click "View/print Treatment Plan PDF"
- The PDF will automatically download, ready to be printed
Reading the Treatment Plan Guide
- Double check the patient details and number of steps mentioned at the top of the page to ensure that you have the right one
- Take a moment to understand the legend (symbols) used to notate different clinical features. This can be found at the bottom of each page of the Treatment Plan Guide
- Now identify the aligner steps where an element (Clinical feature) needs to be added or removed
- For IPR, Elastics and Attachments, treating provider needs to perform the required setup with patient, at the right aligner step, as indicated in the Treatment Plan guide.
- Note that Bite Ramps are built into CandidPro aligners and do NOT need any additional setup by provider.
- For example, the IPR in this treatment plan needs to be performed at two separate times: once in the designated places before treatment begins (step 0) and once again in the designated places before step 12.
- Each indication of an element will be followed by a visual description highlighting the placement
- It is recommended that the office:
- Notate the date of adding or removing elements on this guide
- File this guide along with patient records for future reference
- Setup patient appointment in advance to facilitate timely placement of elements
